Inspired by La Fontaine’s famous fable, this work features two strong-willed characters: the monkey and the cat. Laid out on two rectangular trays, they turn their backs on each other, frozen in a silent disagreement that intrigues and invites you to imagine their story. Viewed separately, each tray arouses curiosity and leaves room for interpretation. Beyond this narrative, the trays offer a dual purpose: hung on the wall, they become true decorative panels; laid flat, they regain their original function and serve with elegance.
